I built this for my son as he's a big A-10 fan, since he guided them to their targets in Afghanistan around 2012 or so. He was a Forward Observer, with some acronym after it. Since he wanted it built gear up, taking good photos is kind of hard. These are more artistic than accurate, since it can't fly, lol. Add some editing in PhotoShop, and it DOES fly!
I'll put something down beneath it that's white to reflect the light up. My first attempt at weathering as well. I think it will be easier on planes that have recessed panel lines and rivets.

The build and photos are fantastic!
The A10s were built originally at Republic in Farmingdale .I N.Y. about 5 miles from where we lived when we got married. We used to hear and see them take off to go over the .I. Sound for tests. Wish we had them in S.E.A. in 1971 when I was there.
