Robert, great to see you started. The more I look at the inspiration car the more I am confounded on how they did it. Where the rear fender mounts to the body seems stock. I'm pretty sure they cut off the bottom of the rear fender to get it to align with the bottom of the body. The front fenders also have had the bottom removed. The front end definitely got pushed up a number of inches since the side panels for the hood are much shorter. Maybe half the height? Your side panels are much taller in your pictures. What completely befuddles me is that the car sits parallel with the ground. It seems like it should have a noticeable rake with the front end visibly lower, but it doesn't. I would have one of my 36 Ford kits out and be looking it over, but unfortunately all are packed because of my move and I don't know how many months it will be before I can get at them.

Dave, Ure right bout my hoodsides. But I compared with the grille I wont cut them more. I also shaved my front fenders bottom up a bit, to follow the body lower line.. but will get them back down again.. had to make shorter doors as the would crash in to frontfenders otherwise.. The car is channeled but model dont need to be as frame sits deep. Im still fiddling with tires, and actually Im not yet sure if it will be built as a barnfind or renovated. I like your commitment

As it goes on I think its going to get more complicated, but you've got it. As much as I appreciate the barn find look on a model, I always like shiney.

Looks good, albeit a little high off the ground to my eye.

Looks great Robert. Looks like you added material to the bottom of the front fenders and additional plastic to the rear fender leading edge. Does the car have a bit of a rake? Looks that way on the last picture and it looks just about perfect.

Tnx, Dave! Yepp, got it down a bit by adding some extra material to the frontfenders. Also in rear there I will change the arc. There is to much now but I do have to add more to cut away the abundance (going leave a bit more material in front of rear wheel). Rake will be as is, sligthly as the red roadster.

Interesting how by adding material to the bottom of the front fenders the car looks much lower. It is clearly lower than your red roadster when you look at the height of the hoods between the two. OBTW, love the red roadster. 37 Chevy isn't it?

OBTW, love the red roadster. 37 Chevy isn't it? Well, not really. It's also a 36 Ford, but I have reworked the original grille, chopped roof. Mounted a 46 Ford dash upsidedown and used frontseats from a 53 Victoria. And changed, dropped down headlights from a Pheaton, dont remember manufacturer.. yellow on box?

I stand corrected. The grille certainly looks like a 37 Chevy so that's what I based my assumption on. You make the best looking 36 Fords.
