Beautiful work on the Alfa Romeo! Almost looks like it was one of those Pocher kits!

Beautiful work on the Alfa Romeo! Almost looks like it was one of those Pocher kits! I got the Italeri Fiat Mefistofele and it is based on the mid 1970's Protar kit with new and up dated parts.
But the Alfa is 100% new Italeri tooling.

It's not actually it's the protar kit, I built the Mefistofeles (you won't be disappointed (watch the chain though))

When they're this big in scale, and built this well, they just look realer than real. Combined with such great subject matter, just dripping with so much Golden Age mechanical detail, the result is a stunning piece of modeling. Bravo!

One question KP, if I remember correctly there might be a mistake in the instructions with respect to the suspension. Did you notice any parts that didn't seem to oriented correctly on the instructions? I built a Protar kit a while back, and they can be a little rough with respect to fit.

Yes the mefistofeles suspension linkages are upside down in the instructions

I noticed that and a few other issues. Fiat Museum in Turin sent me a 100+ page packet on the Mefistifeles, including the info I needed most. The photos and drawing of Ernst Eldridge's Black Land Speed record car at Arjapon, France in 1923 at 146.01 mph.
