I think this project has turned into a diorama. Originally all I had planned was to restore my 65 Elky that I had originally built in 1965. Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiThe tires and wheels were gone as was the engine so I had to replace them of course. I scrounged up an engine etc., but it looked too tiny in the engine compartment. OK now the direction I had planned for has taken a twist. I thought a Chrysler Hemi would look so much better. With the Hemi in place I had to remove the wheel wells to make clearance. Next I wondered if I could put together a nice Hilborn type injection setup and have eight stacks poking through the hood. Done! (Please click on one of the pictures for the rest of the pictures in this album.) The model is actually almost done now but during the construction I wondered how it would look sitting up on a trailer, so I looked into getting one. A task that wasn't as easy as I wanted. However "41chevy" Paul came through for me, having just what I wanted. Now I needed a tow vehicle to drag the rest to the track right!? So I bought a new 65 ElCamino kit. The trailer has received a lot of work though it might not show too well in the photos. The tow Elky has just minor changes that include engine (kit parts) and wheels. Other than the trailer hitch, it was built out of the box. Again, please click on a picture above to see the rest of them. Thanks Gary

Very nice work! Hardly recognize the trailer. Best cover the stacks from a bird poops in them
