Well sometimes ya just feel like a 'Vette. After finishing the Dew Buick I was looking for something different so this old kit jumped out at me. I've had it in the stash for many years and I've always like mid year 'Vettes so here we go.. Not sure exactly where I'm going to go with it yet. Going to use the fuelie mill for sure (queue the Beach Boy's Shut Down)Maybe a day two kind of thing..we'll see.

That's funny Ron, I just pulled this from the stash for something fast to build. I like the decals in the kit, so I may build a race car out of it.

I've been looking for that vintage 'Vette. I've never really been a 'Vette fan, but lately, they're growing on me.

Found this pic of a '63 undercarriage. Supposedly it's a NCRS Top Flight restoration. Note the floor pans appear to be raw fiberglass.

Moving along. Checking fit and stance. Good thing I did too..serious interior tub tub fit issues showed up but now fixed. Hope to get it into paint this weekend.

A little more done. Out of paint and on to foiling. I like these old Testor's colors, I have quite a collection of them. I decant, thin with Testor's airbrush thinner and blow it on with my old reliable Paasche. Lays down well and never any "surprises". Fooling around with the washer tank..dipped in Tamiya clear blue then over coated lightly with Tamiya flat white primer.

Great color choice! Painted one of my old Panheads that color. Paul

Thanks Paul. Time to do something with the interior, always my least favorite part of a build but necessary nonetheless.

That looks great! Never realize it is 60 year old molds. Nice details on the car, hubcaps look excellent with the wash. Did you use the photo etch set on the hood vents and scripts? Paul

Shoot into the land of missing parts, stick to my 1-tweezers 2- fingers or Inky, 3- to exactly where it goes. . . but crooked / up side down.
