Got the MPC Gangbusters Chrysler just for the motorcycle. Pretty simple item but decided to dude it up a bit. Everything is split down the middle the way they molded it so first step was gluing the halves together and then blending them in to each other. Ditched the clear spoke wheels in favor of some of Kurt Raitz's, added a disc brake to the front, made a brake master cylinder reservoir and modified the exhaust system with a big fishtail style tailpipe. Ditched the cop style headlamp ensemble in favor of one of the large buckets from the Revell 29 Model A. Used Molotow pen for the handlebars and some engine trim, but tried out some Spastics on the exhaust system. Might still extend the exhaust to both sides and probably will build a tach and/or speedo. Paint is Testors Root Beer lacquer. Will probably finish this up soon so probably straight to the shelf after this post. Comments appreciated! Sorry for the dull looking photos, am on my laptop and no Photoshop boot here! jb

Looking good. I like the mods you made to it so far, just right.

Kurt's wheels do the job. Looking forward to seeing that root beer paint!

Thanks folks, yeah these wheels make the thing. A little more progress, actually just needs to be assembled and the cables run. I can see I need to look closely and do some paint cleanup. jb

Moving along, but ditched the headlamp I had in mind, was just too big. So I decided to try the other set of lights in the Revell 29 A Roadster, and this time strip the chrome and paint them body color, with chrome rims. And then see if the tach fits in, it too looks too big to me at this point. I did mount the exhaust system, looks pretty wicked, run the cables from the handlebars to the brake and clutch, or thereabouts, lower and move the seat back a few scale inches, and mount the tail lamp/license plate holder to the rear fender. Just waiting on the Molotow chrome to dry on the headlamp. jb

The extension on the exhaust does the trick, and the paint colour really gives it that vintage feel.

Thank you Pontz, appreciate the comment. I thought I had made the pipe too long but the more I look at it the more I like it. Should have maybe trimmed off that center stand hanging out back but then I do think the pipe would be sticking too far back for my liking.
One step forward two steps backward department: screwed up the paint on the replacement headlamp so into the alcohol it went (and down the hatch the other kind went as well). Hopefully third time is the charm.

Finished up the headlamp, fought me all the way and still isn't what it could be, but its only canopy glued on there so I can improve it. Right now I gotta find a nice little fuel cap for the gas tank. Front end actually sits lower and at more an angle without the hemostat holding it up, so it has a nicer stance than the photos indicate. To me anyway. thanks again for looking and comments appreciated! jb

So tell me: Is it loud and chaotic for you inside my head? Everything you did, I would like and do. Digging the Flanders bars! Old Indian fours, Henderson X's, Pierce, even the Silver Ghost... Super cool scoots!
