I built this for my cousin. He sent me two kits awhile back saying he wanted to make one like the 57 he had, but didn't get around to it. So, I did it for him. I had no pictures to go by, just his description. I made the baby moons from some brads HL had. A little too round, I think. I used Spastix to try to make them chrome. I need practice, lol. Home made exterior decals. I need practice on those as well. I finally got some BMF in, so I'm retiring my chrome tape as trim, and just have it for doing exhaust or other things that don't require extreme smoothness. I didn't detail the engine compartment and the chassis had the exhaust molded into it.
I'm wanting to get my 57 Ford wagons out and do a group shot of all three, and another with an orange 58 Impala.

Sharp looking '57! The gloss on that paint is amazing, it looks wet!

You definitely have shiny black paint figured out , beautifully done and a really sharp looking '57 ! I've got some of those brads or buttons from HL too , maybe just a bit too much crown on them but they still work .
