So great to see you at full creative force on this one. In the end you completely redid this from a weathered theme to a full-on replica of a different car done in that realistic style I so much enjoy from you. It's even red instead of green. Patina can be a bit of an addiction and can be overdone if you let it. But this has just enough to make it look like it would have as it was being used in its heyday. Superb!
Going back through the build photos I at last determined how you did the wood planking. You appear to have added a layer of thin veneers over a styrene base. It certainly is convincing, and a testament to the advantages of large scale modeling when working to this level of detail and realism. Have you over done this in 1/24th scale or is that just out of the question, both from the grain scale perspective as well as the thickness of the "planking".

Hi Bernard I did do a triumph herald with a wooden rear half I used the wastage from the stick on wooden decking I put on the 1/350 KGV build I did and it did look OK.
