I built this on another forum a few years ago. I have it sitting where I can see it easily. One of my fav's. Not sure if you call this handmade, scratch-built, pieced together, but there is a load of filler and sanding. The front is pieces from a '49 Merc, and the rear is pieces from a 51 Chevy, with other pieces added for the final rough shaped and ready for filler. The front windshield and rear window were all wrong so those were changed and new moldings created. Hood needed the beautiful signature molding added also that goes into the front of the front fenders. And of coarse the signature side sweep body molding was added also. The beautiful 2 piece grill is from Modelhaus (I bought 2, so I have one set left for a Mercury custom in the future) and '53 ford headlights are molded in. The rear has pieces of a '58 Edsel for tail lights with the body molded to match, and the bumper is from a diecast '53 Caddy. Of coarse it had to be a hardtop and the hood needed those 4 signature chrome air vents of a Roadmaster. Much more could be mentioned, but hey - lets see some pics - LOL

Sorry about the first 2 pics being the same. Not sure how to edit that out.

Lots of custom work done on this one , really like the forward opening hood ! I vaguely remember seeing this somewhere before but it was quite a while ago .

I love these pics. Body work required so much attention to detail, but I loved every minute of it. The "Rawness" of the appearance in it's basic "NAKED" form really does "grab" me. I hope you enjoy these as much as I have revisiting these.
