I decided that it might be a good idea to introduce myself with a couple of recently finished models outside of the "Member's Gallery".
This is an original AMT '67 Galaxie with a few modifications.
The body has had roof trim added for a 2-tone paint job.
The color is correct "Lime Gold" and "Raven Black".
The interior has had a considerable amount of upgrades including the cutting apart of the tub to facilitate the detailing of the door panels.
The door panels were basically "wiped clean" and all new details were added, including re-scribing the pleats, replacing some trim, and adding arm rests, window cranks and courtesy lights.
The seats have been altered by adding seat bases from a Monogram 1959 Cadillac kit and adding some trim as well.
Even the steering wheel was pretty heavily modified by considerable thinning, adding "finger grip" detail and completely scratch building the "flower pot" center.
The fender wells and firewall, being completely devoid of any wiring detail, were wired and plumbed.
The chassis is nearly completely box stock, but the 427 R-Code engine was created using a combination of engine parts from several different kits.
This build received a "Best Road Car" award and a "Top 10 Peoples Choice" award at the 2019 NNL North show.
It also made an appearance in the recent Scale Auto Magazine "Contest Edition".
Thanks for looking guys!
I am happy to be here!

Your models are beautiful, museum quality builds, in my opinion. Neither my hands or attention span would allow me to turn out such beauties.

Another remarkable recreation in scale! So impressive, interior near perfect (seat belts?). The steering wheel, like the engine fans, as they come in the kits are kinda thick and I am always bothered by this. Glad you improved it. Very impressive is the great work on the chrome trim, often with black inserts. Not easy at all! As a picture, it looks real enuf to climb into! Thanx again for sharing your great skills here.

Seat belts in '67?
Nah!
Who needs 'em!
Just one of those details that I have never felt the need to do.
Maybe some day.

Sorry I was late to the party! An all around incredible build! I especially like the interior work and the badges as well!
