Well Sir, I'm just know picking up my jaw from the floor. Every couple of weeks I look on eBay to see what Paul Hettick has to offer, and I swear your models are right there, pro quality. The use of Chrysler wire wheels with the backwash is a classic touch. Also I was never a fan of the 61 Pontiac, but after looking at yours I'm a believer. And that 61 Buick interior is outstanding, are those seat patterns brush painted or masked or decals? Thanks for posting, these are my favourite years of model cars.

Truly masterful! No weak areas, perfect chrome, wheels, interiors!!!! I could go on, but the truth is you spent many hours on each one, making sure interior and exterior colors look "right." You ARE the god of models of that era. My fave? Chrysler 300 H. I wonder what changing the spark plugs on that engine was like! Bless your heart, and many thanx!

Wow!
Those are some very powerful endorsements and I am completely humbled by your words!
I have been building for nearly 50 years, but my enthusiasm really hit a high point a few years ago when I began to get into building and restoring vintage kits.
This type of subject matter is the type of stuff that really excites me and keeps me wholly interested in the hobby.
Thank you so much for your kind words!
It is a real boost to my passion for building!

As I stated to mack2856, it is a huge boost to my confidence as a builder to keep forging ahead.
I greatly appreciate your comments!

Johan 1965 Plymouth Fury Street Machine.
This is the build that I feel is probably my best effort to date.
A ton of modifications went into this project.
Some of these modifications include:
A vinyl top was added and the fender skirts were removed Under the hood, the fender wells and firewall were almost entirely scratch built, including all plumbing and wiring. In the interior, The tub was cut apart, convertible top wells removed, door panels completely stripped of detail and all of the detail, including scratch made arm rests, was replaced. The chassis was lifted from the Lindberg 1964 Belvedere kit and painstakingly massaged into the Johan body. The exhaust, minus the mufflers was scratch built, including all clamps The Torque Thrust wheels were built from 3 different sets of wheels. The engine was also taken from the Lindberg '64 and was embellished with many extra details including intake manifold "casting" plugs, scratch made fuel filters, coil, dip stick and carb linkage, as well as the addition of a beautiful set of Fireball Modelworks Carter AFB carburetors.
There were far too many upgrades to really list.

I don't know HOW I missed this gallery but holy crap what a bunch of awesome builds! I am partial to the vintage stuff especially pretty much all the cars you have shown here!
