Thanks for noticing, Bob.
Meanwhile I was planning on using the Sharp heads from MCG, but on closer inspection, although the package says Sharp heads, they say Offenhauser on them; apparently the wrong heads were put in the right bag. Guess I have to call them and see what can be done about getting me what I actually ordered, not what might have been convenient to package up. So...well I am not even going to comment further at this point, except to say one more delay...

Got some work done on the engine finally. Painted it like the guy went down to Grand Auto and got some VHT Candy Red that I seem to recall from back then, and painted the block with it to make it look snazzy, along with some (poorly) plated head nuts. Got the injection together and installed, made a little fuel dispersion thingy that might double for an electric fuel pump, used the Evans heads from MCG but cut off the front water ports because they interfered with the look, but left the center ones...that's the way most I looked at in research were set up. Still might make a little cap for the outlet but it is pretty minimal anyhow so might just leave it. Meanwhile made up a magneto and mounted it, am waiting for the epoxy to dry to detail it a bit more and hook up the wires. Should look pretty good in the car. Made up some headers using the ones from the Double Dragster kit, cut them apart, drilled both ends and inserted pegs in the engine side. They are about ready to install just need some blackening inside. Comments and guidance appreciated! jb

Well I am actually pressing on with it, got it wired today, just need the headers to install it. So thanks for the kick in the rear! It really does help sometimes!

Engine is done, and installed, just need to mount the radiator shell, Moon tank and fab up a driveshaft. I raised the front of the engine a bit to make it sit parallel with the ground. Made a small platform for the radiator shell so it would sit on the frame rails and also cover a couple of holes I thought it was going to mount into. Thanks again for looking! jb

Constructing a driveshaft for it right now but when that is done and mounted, this is pretty much ready for the shelf. jb

slight correction needed to the classification, kind of funny no one here brought it up. Gaffer tape and electrical tape will save you everytime. jb
