The short story is:
The bodies are, naturally, a pair of Revell 59 Cadillacs. The suspension came from an AMT USA-1 monster truck, the wheels and tires are from some John Deere tractor toys that just happened to scale out right on the money, and the chassis is scratch build based on some movie production CAD drawings I found online.
Cheers to my buddy Tyler for donating the saddle tanks from his parts bin.
More to come as the work continues. Witness me, brothers!

Engines are from the AMT 37 Chevy kit, with resin turbos and bent solder exhaust headers. LOTS more tubes to come! The engines are mounted side by side on a pulling-tractor style crossbox that drives a single heavy duty transmission. It's important to have suitable building attire too...

With so much creativity going on, I STILL have to tip my hat to you for the very clever use of tractor tires. All in all a very strange post-apocalypse vehicle. Some others at model forums, but yours is 1+1 of a kind!!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys, but I can't take too much credit for creativity here. After all, I am just trying to duplicate what the amazingly talented vehicle designers and fabricators of Fury Road already did. The cars in this film are amazing and better than any other Mad Max film by far.
So far I'm quite happy with how it's turning out. Paint on the chassis can't be too far away now.
(Maybe the Doof Wagon will be next?)

Actually, I'm already planning out Nux's car to go with it. If I ever find a display case big enough for the horse, I'm sure Nux's car would fit in there too.

Time for an update and another dry fit. Please pardon the tape holding the front on. So far I haven't screwed it up too bad to save. Still lots more to go, but I'm pretty pleased so far. I've never undertaken a project with this much fabrication and scratch building of components before, so it's taking me a while and there have been a few restarts of parts, but it's coming along.

Umm, oh well, that's definitely something you don't see everyday! This is a lot of fun to follow, in 1:1 scale I wouldn't be too crazy over this one as I like '59 Cadillacs, but as this is only plastic, you got my attention. Excellent work so far, keep it coming!
