Besides DPMCC, the other general interest forum I frequent regularly is the Model Cars Magazine forum ( www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/ ). For the last 2-3 days I have been unable to connect to them. I still receive e-mail updates from them but none of the links work for me. They all time out. All other web activity seems to be fine. Because I can't connect to them I can't ask them for help or give them a heads up. Does someone have a plain old e-mail address I can use to reach them? Have any of you encountered similar problems? Thanx Ron. After quite a good deal of experimenting I've determined the problem is that the www.modelcarsmag.com domain is somehow blocking my specific IP Address. If I connect from another IP Address (for example using a VPN or logging in from my public library or a coffee shop) I can get through. But using my home IP Address the connection times out and my browser reports the domain is not responding. I've tried various browsers so I know it's specific to the IP Address and not anything else on my end. I've contacted Harry and described the problem, asking him to refer me to someone who can resolve it. Harry's old domain name is no longer good. |
