I'm a sucker for a Subaru Impreza WRC Rally Car. On it's way an ebay bargain by Airfix. Ah and a set of lamps to fit it, or if the bonnet is a different shape make some more!

Just got the new tool Revell Germany Jaguar XKE Coupe. $22.00 + $6,95 USPS I've had it ordered for a long time. It was held up remold the hood to eliminate sink marks. Seems well done. It isgoing under the saw this weekend.

I just ordered one of those E types too, where I ordered from showed the RoG box but I hope it comes in the "American" box, and I am not positive they redid the first run in those boxes that supposedly had sink marks in the roof. Even if the body is messed up, I am planning on using the engine in something totally inappropriate. Probably some other parts too like the rear suspension and axle, would look great under the next street rod-ish build, with or without the mill.
What you planning on cutting up Paul? Your avatar scares me. The E-type was really a magnificent car to chop up into a blown fuel dragster, I alway kind of cringe when I see those in real life. But, models, that's a different deal, have at em! Looking forward to what you do!

Body had zero sink marks and was from up dated /repaired molds.
The Avator was my dads in the mid 60's, a 1962 XKE. It started out as a stolen car that had been dumped in a farm field. But not before the engine was blown up, wire wheels bent and interior slashed and all the Smithe gauges broken. It was given to dad for recovery fee's by the insurance company to be scrapped. I'm building that and the Jag six is going in a a car called the Pubcrawler that ran at Santa Pod
I do have one to build basically OOB also. Paul

When I was a kid, my much older cousin was in town to visit, and he was a model builder. After seeing mine, he decided (rightfully so) to show me how to build them. The 66 Galaxie was his choice. I don't remember whether he got a chance to finish it or not. Ever since then, I wanted to get one and build it up to show him how I've evolved. The 56 Chevy rounds out my shoebox collection. When I was about 14, the neighbor raced a 56 Chevy drag car. He had a matching 66 or 67 Chevelle to tow it with. I might try to duplicate the combo since I already have a Chevelle model.

I bought some 3D wheels/tyres with chunky treads for an upcoming rally car or buggy build. I also got the disk rotors with them and having already started painting them.

I REALLY need to do my research better and quit relying on my ever-aging brain for things I "think" I remember. This being one of them. I would have sworn up and down and fought someone if they said the first model of Falcon Ranchero was NOT used in GOLDFINGER to haul off the crushed Lincoln. While the movie is on constantly on PLUTO, I haven't watched it in many years. So I have been searching for a kit to make that car. Then I decided to do research and found out I was completely wrong. Oh well, it should still be fun to build, but not how it's shown on the box.
Note: I really think the Ranchero used in the movie would be sitting a bit lower than that with a 2 1/2 ton car in the bed.

I got this from a friend that lives in Iowa during the hot season down here. He said a Ben Franklin store was closing. I didn't have the heart to tell him I already have this kit, but I haven't built it yet.

Those are really nice , larger diameter ones are very hard to find ! I had to buy a diecast to get some for a build last year . Where are they from ?
