Hello I`m working on a Camino at this moment because I could not go further with the Hell rod (drying times of the gloss coat) I don't do not much on this one, I have shaved the hood, lower the front and just putting some other wheels under it. The wheels are resin ones from Geronimo Works (never heard of them?) and 19 inch. I found the wheels and tires to wide and shorten the wheels on my lathe for adapting the tires from the AMT kit that are smaller. Its looks much better with the modified wheels. Just for letting you guys see the difference in width with the new tires (the wheels where the same width on the green Camino) And I`m thinking of a black and red paint job on this one, never done a two tone paint job Ron

yeow! Those front wheels on the El Camino do look a bit FAT. Nice work cutting them down.

Looking sweet. Narrowing the rims was a great idea, makes the wheels fit the 66 much better, than they look on the 59.

Thnx Gerg. Today I started painting the Camino. First the preparations, I made the pinstripe with 0,4 mm tape and dis some BMF on the letters and flags. Then I laying the first coat of paint on it, Auto Air metallic black. After this is dry I paint the underside Sparklescent Mango also from Auto Air. This is nice semi transparant color and I Will get the color of that little test car only a little lighter. And just one picture of the interior. Ron

After a few hours behind the paint booth the Camino is repainted and everything turned out well. I have only changed the Color of the pinstripe in silver instead of red, the red stripe Doin`t`t looks right with the orange. Ron
