I just discovered this was kicked off of TRaK because of the engine, so I'll be posting it here on the forum, exclusivly. This'll be a custom....a tad on the mild side. I'll be using a small block Ford that I have had built for quite a while and on display in my showcase. That Ardun has to go into something with an open engine compartment!!! Ford engine works into this frame beautifully. I took the bottom part of the 41 woody flathead front plate (cast repop from KKKKK) for a motor mount. Mild top chop Drilled a couple of holes in the crossmember and the kits exhausts lined up almost perfect with the Ford's headers. Engine clears everything, floorboard, firewall, etc. I'm not used to this! Because I'm using KKKKK wheels and tires all around I have to do some tweaking to get them to work. Heres the kits rear axle afixed to KKKKK repop brake drums. Chopped top in it's first primer, mocked up on the front fenders. It'll need some more refining.

Hello, I signed up over here to watch this build. I love your truck, your engine choice is spot on. I'm sad to hear you will not be posting this amazing build over on TRaK, but I understand. I could offer you the motor from AMT's 67 Mustang for the build if you want. All your builds are amazing.

I'm honored, Robert. I'm working on the truck, but I'm on a 2nd compiuter that dosen't have my camera software or Adobe on it. So, it may be a few days until I can get the new fotos up. I find out that I was wrong about the Ford 302 fitting perfectly. as i progress, the tranny hump in the interior tub needs a little clearance.

Well, I have my computer back and I got the latest WIP over to Bob for my DPMCC Fotki. This is the tub with the truck in the background. Appears that this baby is going to have a more severe rake than I anticipated Not as far along as I normally would be. Been side tracked by computer problems and my Valve Cover Racer build.

Looking good, Clay. The rake looks perfect. The shift is awesome, most that I see have shifter knobs that are too big.

Pearl white with blood red scallops would look sweet.

Pearl white with blood red scallops would look sweet. Appliance white. I'm leaning away from the scallops idea.. never cared much for them, even back in the day. This ain't TRaK material anyway , so now I'm thinking some modern flames...tribal or tru-fire.

I pulled this back up on the bench while waiting for paint to dry. I like a rake but this was way too much, so I tore the rear end off and am relocating the axles to on top of the springs. It'll either be way low or a tail dragger.

Ok, I've relocated the rear X to the top of the springs. I took the photo before I prime the mod areas in case someone may be interested in how it was done. I tried something different first, that's why the rear spring eyes are clipped off. So, i had to put spacers on the frame. If someone tries this, you don't need to clip of thsoe spring eyes and it'll look less butchered. I had to 'C' notch the frame (tail pipes too, but don't tell anyone). Stance came way more reasonable:
