this peice of crap mustang i am working on at the moment has to be done by July for a show. it's a challenge between myself and 7 other guys in Omaha. we all had to buy a real peice of crap junker from the contest/swapmeet in February. each car was to be something that was junk and nobody would want to build and cost $5 or less. when everyone bought a car, we all drew numbers to see which one we ended up with. i ended up with a 83 mustang convertible glue bomb with busted windsheild frame, chassis busted up and paint globbed on , you know...peice of crap! anyways....when we go to the show in July, we will put all of our cars on the table with a ballot box and the people will choose their favorite.... whoever wins will receive $5 from each person that entered. I don't want to lose $5 or the respect they are gonna owe me when i kick their butts! LOL(it's all in fun) here it is with fixed windsheild posts and mock up with my wheel choice. top is painted with semi gloss black, looks pretty good. not a simple build, much detail going into this, stay tuned!

thanks to Bob Valanda for the chassis you see here! I did have to modify it a bit to fit. I shortened it, narrowed the tubs outer edges, removed the front brace and wheel wells. Now that it's tubbed, the chassis is just right! After that i removed the rear seats to accomidate the tubs and it may look rough now....but i will have a nice cover up over that area. I am thinking of laying real aluminum down in the interior floor and where the rear seat was. more to come! Hosted on FotkiHosted on Fotki

scratch built the "rear seat delete" which will be covered in aluminum soon. drilled out gage faces and fit the tilt steering column also.

IMHO, you should have let those tubs be visible. Coming along fine !!

back to it... to start, i guess i lost the desire to build this thing....so i am trying to get excited lol working on primer stages now, the car had a lot of glue and this would be text book GLUE BOMB restoration/re-build. I won't go through a lot of work to fill and sand....just enough to toss paint on it. Hosted on Fotki
