OK, I finished this "Trailer Queen" this weekend. Too artsy I'm afraid to hit the ashphalt, but a fun build anyways.
Paint is HOK Kandy Hot Pink blended with Kandy Oriental Blue blended with Apple Kandy Red, all blown over a silver basecoat. Graphics are hand drawn on decal film using a Rapidograph technical drawing pen, then buried in about 6 coats of clear.
This turned into kind of a Roth tribute bike. The "Lil' Jewell" on the air cleaner is significant of Roths first show car, as well as the ones on the primary cover. The early Roth Monster kits had jeweled eyes. For some reason I always dug those things! I bought a couple of bags of them at a craft shop a few weeks ago, and decided to use a little artistic license and put a few on the bike.
The "rollbar" type seat support is made from silver solder, polishedd, then clear coated.
The taillight is a parts box item.
theres alot of small art details on the frame. Look closely for scattered flys and spiders buzzing along and hangin' around!
The fly on the exhaust is a Roth Monster refugee. He's actually doing a "Dutch coverup". I had some bad chrome in this kit, and there were some spots on the exhaust. I pinstriped this little guy and put him over it!
The crazy driveline system was the end result of lengthening that frame. Dual sprocket setups. too low unless this bike was airbagged!
The tank is my favorite part!
That's Big Daddy himself back there on the rear fender keepin' an eye on things!
I was glad to finish this thing. All of the complications at the end made it go to long to finish. On the upside, I can now start another one!! LOL! I have a trike project on the sketchpad, plus my contest builds!
