I'm loving it!! Where did you find the brake caliper? I converted a stock Harley caliper from an Imai kit. Thanks guys......I still have a long way to go!

I wanted to show you guys this and see what you think. I was going through the 'ol parts box the other night and found these 1/8 scale torq thrusts. I wondered if the centers would fit in the chopper rims. After a little cutting "poof" they slipped right in like they were made that way. I put two of the wheel centers back to back and they fit perfect in the wide 300 tire. pics On the bike I think they kinda give an old school hot rod look. Opinions.....

Small update...............its cleared and polished......you can kind of see the pearl on the flames in this pic....but boy is this color hard to photograph. It thurned out very well. Here is a pic of the front wheel I made to match the new rear wheel. I basically used the front wheel from the R/M kit and used styrene rod shaped to a taper to make new spokes.

Well everything is back from Chrome tec so I have made some progress. The engine is coming along nicely. I added the case bolts, and plugs from RB Motion, detailed the carb. All it needs is oil lines and its ready to go. This shot shows the installed brake caliper, chain, seat painted pearl white, headlight and the "stinger" taillight. This is shot of the new rear wheel after choming. I used large acorn nuts from RB Motion for axle nuts. Here is a sneak peak at what will be the shifter knob on the suicide shift. I made it from plastic bits wire and a bead. thanks for looking .........more to come

I'm really enjoying this build. Terrific vision, design and craftsmanship. Love the changes in the wheels. Great follow through in re-doing the front wheel after switching over to the TorqThrust rear. Can't wait to see pics of the overall impact of these and many more details now that you're down to final assembly.
