Here I go. Slaughterhouse Willies is in the paint shop, and the 5K Whoosierdaddy is being detailed, so with a little time on my hands, I dug out this carcass that I butchered earlier this year, and then abandoned the idea. This coupe body was widened about a half inch with the intententions of mating it to a set of 40 Ford fenders (Not one of my better ideas). Other that what you see in these fotos, I have only a vauge idea where this will be going. Not even going to think about keeping it TRaKable....lost cause. First I had to get the thing back down to approximatly the original width. Then I marked it for a more severe chop after I found the right hand door and got everything back close to where it should be One thing I do want to try, if space allows, is to set the cowl opening back to the windshield bottom edge, and have the engine setting back in between the cowl sides somewhat. Everything after this is totally up in the air I will probably jump on this when the Willys is done, even if I do come up with the scratch for one of those new A coupes. Maybe I better drop Santa a hint, eh ?

I figgure that whatever happens on the rear, I'll still need to replace the body molding that goes under the rear window.

I guess I'll be going with this engine, whatever it is. Been in my salvage yard for quite a while. Long enough that I don't remember when/where I got it. (yesterday?) Don't know much about turbos, but I'll try to imagineer this into something halfway believable.

Interesting motor choice Geezer. It would be nice to know what kit that came from.

Really ? One of the Tampa (M.A.G.S.) club members told me my 36 salt model was in some sort of annual. I think they supplied some model fotos from their Billitproof show in Ocala. I'll have to look it up.

Well, I'm not painting yet, so the Willies is moldering away. I did slip out to the studio a few times trying to figure out what to do with the rear end of this abortion. I know I don't want any kind of PU bed on it. Tried the front fenders of a 39 Chev. and discarded that idea: Sliced up some kind of tank off of an RC Jeep. Potential for something, but not this ! Finally decided I'd just bob the thing. Wheel tubs cut from a small plastic nail container: BTW, that's a pair of the new 5K Whoosierdaddys

Pretty close to having a rolling chassis. Have the cowl/firewall mod roughhed in.

Not planning on going to Billit proof at the Gainesville Fair grounds, but that may change. I sold my 63 F-100 after last years Billit proof to one of the tampa M.A.G.S members. He drove it to Daytona for the Turkey Rod Run. He might have it at Gainesville.
