That video works fine...
I'm kinda troubled about your mold material, Looks like a real Bi#@h to work with! I don't know many products, but the silicone for Alumilite molds is about twice as thick as cake mix. I just pour it on slowly, no digging it out, no brushing it on the parts, and I get every detail that is available. EASY! you may want to try it. Bill

I use the Alumilite silicone for the molds also. This video is just more for showing "How" to do it rather than what brand to use. I've never used the Smooth-On brand though. One of the problems I have and I don't think it matters what brand it is, is the actual plastic resin working time is not long enough if you are doing several molds at once. You've got about 1 minute after mixing to pour it before it starts to cure.

Not that I'm trying to get as much done as possible by pouring multiple casts but it's harder to measure a couple of ml's and get it perfectly mixed than it is to make a bigger batch say like 10 ml.
The alumilite plastic is pretty touchy on it's measurements and if you're off just by a milliliter, it will make the plastic almost rubbery. I have found that heating the molds up helps out a lot with the curing stage though.

I (trying something new) got some casting PLASTIC from my private eye Blick catalog. Stuff makes pure white, totally bubble less beautiful castings. Problem is, it kicks in a matter of 4/5 SECONDS. At least the resin I get from Micro Mark gives me a little longer.
