new project fresh out of the box i started last night... using the 4x4 front axle and hardware from model kings re-issued 1979 Ford 4x4 pickup. Except i will be turning this 1992-6 body stlye in a F250 4x4 I added risers to the cowl springs to get the height i wanted..... Added riser blocks in the rear also........ The front shocks i scratch built this morning..........nothing fancy just something simple....... Sorry about the Camera, its new and i am still learning it.........

You know me....I don't build stuff this new, but I have thought about building one of these pickups. I for some reason like that body. I wonder if it's because of my close relations to one? lol When I was in the body shop, we had a regular that owned a body like that. He was a logger and beat the holy MEARDA! out of it all the time hauling wood, driving in rough terrain too...the truck was not meant for that kind of abuse and he only had a 302 in it! (probably not the right motor but this was pieced together in the first place) He busted the bed sides off, ripped the bed off the frame, busted shocks ...you name it, he beat the SHI-T out of this thing! We eventually put a flat bed with stakes made of steel. He ran it until there was nothing left....I mean literally, just completely worthless. When he could not drive it anymore...he had us put the motor in a car for his wife and kids to travel a couple hours out of town one day.....the engine blew after the trip!

I started off with two wagon wheel's (from fire fighter dodge 4x4) drilled out the center cap then using a #11 blade i popped off the original molded in lugs, Using a spot sanding pin i cleaned the area up,then drilled at the bottom of each spokes (8 holes) then added plastic rod. I found one more wagon wheel in the tire box, then had to grabbed the fourth out of the warlock kit.then i had enough for this project. The 4x4 hubs i drilled the back out of the chrome reverse wheels from a boondocker blazer (72) kit. and popped out when i had em thin enough. I still need to make another hub for the back wheels with this being a 3/4 wheel, it will be a axle hub.

I don't know what it is about the tires, but they look kinda grimey and that makes them attractive to me.
