Did some body work on the 55 Bubbletop today. A lot of sanding! Hit it with some primer, still more to do. A quick mock up.

Nice touch. Are you going to run the T-Bird engine also? Yes, it will be the kit Y Block with T-Bird valve covers. It will have 3 deuces on it.

Hit it with some primer. I added a 57 T-Bird scoop to the hood and a tonneau cover from the parts box to cover the back seat. I think these slick out the look of a convertible.

Exceptional improvements there KP! The rad upgrade really made a big difference to realism of the part. Looking like a 1:1!

This Ford landed today. I'm going to add the gasser parts from the wagon kit and hopefully come up with something like this classic I started out to use the #22 Fireball Roberts '57 kit as a base but It is missing a few key stock parts and can only be built as a race car out of the box.

I was not really sad to get a good deal on this one considering how pricey and rare Jo-Hans are getting. Good score. those are getting hard to find.

Wow, even though I knew they were used in Fieros as well I honestly didn't believe that any model kit manufacturer had actually included that engine in any kit! Thanks for the info! But yeah, as you said, it's probably easier to modify a six than trying to find one of those Fieros cheap. Honestly I don't see what else could I do with a Fiero kit other than rob the engine out of it. The Revell Attempt 1 kit has a Pontiac 4 banger in it.

I agree on the dragster. However, once I open one, my imagination and need to build it kicks in, so it's quite possible I'll do a box build. Now that would be cool. Don't think I've ever seen one of those built up box style.

Well, Sierra and Fox Mustang have some similar aspects! While neither of them is really powerful, they both are a bit more "sporty" than most of the average cars from those years. Though, stick shift does make it much more sporty...Despite the engine. Both of those cars have decent handling too. A Friend has a regular 4-door Sierra that he bought from an old man. It's in nearly perfect condition, and even though I'm often not that much into European cars, I have to admit that it's pretty cool. But at least here in Finland those are quite popular "winter beaters" for youngsters and most of them are in quite poor condition. Well a 5.0 Fox has a bit of punch to it! LOL. Not as much as the newer Mustangs but in their time....

Ok so besides the 55 I decided to put this my 57 Ford vert back on the bench. It's been sitting in the box like this for at least 2 years. It's going to be a mild custom.
