Well this is interesting for sure. My '63 instruction sheet dated 1962 does not have the triple lights, nor does the body have the indents for them. After digging further on the instruction site I can see that the '64 sheet does indeed show the triple lights. So I'd suggest that the sheet Paul shows is from a '64 kit. The 65-66 sheets on the site again do not have them('67 sheet was unavailable). This all leads me to believe that those triple lights were only in the '64 kit, at least instruction sheet wise anyway. Again, I could be completely wrong about all this but interesting discussion nonetheless.

Here's the rack and some other stuff on a '63 survivor built up I have...

Ahh such is the hazards of resin bodies. Can you grind/file away some of the corresponding areas of the chassis/interior areas? I've done that before with decent results.

Looking sharp Pat. As a veteran of several of these built up I can say you did a fine job here. I like the color combo you chose for it too.

Yeah it was and still is a very cool look for those 'Vettes. I don't think the '63 AMT kits offered the option though... (original issue instruction sheets from the DPMCC Instruction & Box Art site)
The '64 - 66 kits don't show them either, at least not on the instruction sheets anyway.
As always I'm no expert and could be wrong.

That is what I wanted to know . Will it stick to the first coats from today ? Hope this is all the questions for today . If you use the same brand it should. I would wet sand with some fine paper first to give the base some "bite". Keep in mind I am no expert such things as I have limited experience with acrylics. Hopefully some of the others will chime in with their thoughts on this topic.

I like where you're going with this. Are you going to use the wire wheels shown in the pic? I agree the Grabowski/Kookie T did sit a bit high in the rear, looks like the frame had quite a kick, most likely to accommodate that huge buggy spring. It does give it a kind of "jaunty" look though.

Not sure exactly what you're asking here but if it's can you mix up more color and paint paint tomorrow I don't see why not. The acrylic undercoat should be cured by then.

Looks like the start of an ambitious project. I think all the parts are sorceable but I wonder about those front wheels?

Very interesting trip there JB. Thanks for taking us along. I could look at these pics for hours. I know at least one of those skeletons is a Buick, maybe the other one too.
