I was inspired by a fellow modeler here in Sweden to build a 1964 Galaxie. Why...because he built a really nice black Galaxie and before he shot the final colour he showed a picture of his build in flat black primer. That's when I decided I had to build a flat black Galaxie , mildly dechromed and with gloss red steelies. So, here' we go again.... These kits are actually based on the old Promos, so it's a curbside. I converted the enginedummy to look like an inline 6 cyl engine. I made my own steel-wheels using a scrap setup of old Monogram turbines and some AMT stock steelies. Then I used tires from a Monogram kit. As i wanted this car to be a simple 6 cyl car I had to scrap the stock interior and I found another interiorbucket in my partsbox. The stock one with bucket seats is the one to the right in this picture: And here's a pic showing the new interior with benchseat up front compared to the stock interior: Here's a mockup to show the stance:

Good conversion work. Nice detail on the engine plate. Your Galaxie has a great look and stance too.

Due to personal reasons this build has been set aside. Don't know when, or if, I'll finish it!
