With a thin bead of white glue. I use good ole Elmer's. Ron, what type of resin do you use? Time to pour some resin. I like this Micro Mark stuff. Mixed 1:1 and poured into mold After about 45 minutes, it turns white when cured And popped out of the mold. Just need a little clean up and they're ready for prime, paint and Alclad!

I luv the "how to" on making silicone molds! May it bring new life for builders! Carson top is cool. When I was building (long ago) I bought 2 of the '50 Fords. My plan was to cut the 2 up, making one a dual cowl phaeton with the extra section and the other as a Sporty Fordy 2 seater sports car. Your work on the '50 Ford is a real turn-on, thanx!

Thanks. I just wanted to remove some of the dark magic from the process and show that it's not rocket surgery! Hopefully I inspired some to try it for themselves.

Got some paint on the old Ford today. Mixed up a spritz of these two plus some Testor's thinner. Gave me the color I was looking for. It airbrushed out nicely I think.

Nice color! This is always the stage of the proceedings that's kind of the "first reveal", where we discover if the planets will indeed align. And they are definitely in alignment on this one!

Lookin' very fine! I hope you take the time on the interior. Even with a carson top how nice the inside looks does matter. Thanx for the fotos.

Making a little more progress on the Ford. Finished up the interior, the Caddy mill and foiled the trim on the Carson top. The finish line is in site!
