Hi Ron, Hows this one coming along? It really looks good so far. I like that Blue, I've never used Rust-oleum on plastic before, I mostly airbrush, model enamels and Automotive paints. What is the color name or part number? Did you use a primer, and if so what kind? Also does it have clear or is that the paint, it looks like you laid it on pretty smooth. Also tell us about the Copper color on the engine and wheels. I Don't have an old one to restore, like you and Bob, so I am using the Goodguys kit, (like in your opening picture) to build a replica, or "Tribute" version. Many people (myself included) didn't realize for years all those "T" re pops originated from the Little T.
I agree with what you said at CC2, this would be a good one re released with all the original parts. would sure make things simpler. haha
Can't wait to see this one finished
Your Friend Jim

Jim, I've made a little progress on this one since the last installment. Just a matter of assembly now, might even get it finished today depending on how things go, I've never used the Rustoleum before since this and I'm impressed with it's properties. I did use Plasti-Kote T-237 white primer just to brighten up the color but this an enamel and not "hot". I didn't use any clear, this is just the paint out of the can. I picked up the copper at Micheal's craft store on clearance. Not sure if it's available any more. I like it and it's become my new favorite accent color! Again it sprayed well out of the can. No need to break out the air brush. I agree about a reissue with original parts, that would be great especially the 3 in 1 idea with parts for a Little Drag and Little Rod but I'm sure that would take some new tooling as those specific parts were never done in 1:24 scale as far as I know. It's a fun dream though! Maybe even a Little Tub?
