Well seeing Bob's gorgeous Little T build got me inspired to dig this pile of parts out and try to build another one. This one is going to be the turtle deck version and it won't be red. Thanks Bob!

I'm not sure I would have noticed the difference in the interiors , thanks for pointing it out .

A little progress..... Those seats were welded in there pretty strong so I had to cut them out so I could strip the old paint. I'll fill the holes in the floor in with stock later.

This is a good example of what it takes to rebuild the proverbial gluebomb , I'm glad mine wasn't anywhere near this bad ! And those seats look brand new , nice !

That's true Bob, this one's a challenge. I got all the basic bones of the model sorted. I'll try to use as many original parts as I can but some are to far gone and will have to taken from the new issue donor kit. Going to be a lot of Alclad! I'm going to paint it this color, hoping to make it look like the plastic was molded in this shade.

Some progress. Got the floor board filled in and smoothed. Primer is drying now. All the suspension parts are sorted. Working on smoothing them all out to get ready for Alclad Had a bit of work to get the old glue off the original issue specific front brake backing plates. These are not found in the later issues of the kit. I'm going to salvage this original windshield. It has the horizontal seam engraved in where the reissues do not.

Some progress. Mostly all painted. Just a few small details to work out and I'll be ready for final assembly. I'm thinking of using that original windshield, decals and all, as a nod to this model's humble beginnings.

Looks great Ron ! I like the blue paint with the copper engine and wheels .
And I think it would be neat with the original windshield in it , preserving it's history !

Fabulous effort on what seemed to be nothing but trouble! I'm holding off on the color, not "racy" nor a custom one. Maybe with the interior and engine done it will fit in better. Good luck and thanx for the lesson on disassembly of a glue bomb!

Not many modelers will take the trouble to rescue a glue bomb except to salvage a few choice parts. Nice job !!!
