IMHO, the Little T is hands-down the greatest of the scale T-buckets and your enhancements add a contemporary level of detail and skill without intruding on the feel of the original. Very impressive. I crave those headers. Along with the wheels, they were among the major losses in the subsequent versions of this classic. Its funny to realize that Darryl Starbird was credited with being the designer of it!

The headers and wheels really are nice ( especially those headers ! ) , it's too bad they were never available in later kits . After working on this for a few weeks I have to agree with you that this is the nicest T-Bucket kit I've had and I'm already looking for another one ! Did Starbird really design this ?

...Did Starbird really design this ? Monogram originally commissioned the "Big T' 1:1 T-Bucket from Starbird around 1963. They toured it as the "Big T' and issued it in 1/8th scale as the "Big T' and 1/24th scale as the "Little T". On the side of the box of the 1966 re-issue (it was first issued in 1964) there's a picture of Starbird with the legend " Darryl Starbird Model Car Scaled from original full sized car designed and built for Monogram". I have often wondered whether Monogram had a strong hand in the basic design or not. The car is classic T-Bucket stuff from the period so Starbird would have been quite familiar with what was required. It's clearly based on the Tommy Ivo car but already has quite a few resto-rod elements that were becoming popular around this time.

I agree, this is just a jewel of a kit. I would like to see it reissued in original form with extra parts to build a... "Little Drag" version or a "Little Rod" or even a "Little Tub"
