That's one beautiful Chevelle! Out of your comfort zone or not, it looks excellent! Especially I like the paint job and sharp BMF work, too. How was the kit? Did you find any problems during the build?

How was the kit? Did you find any problems during the build? The kit , for the most part, is super to work with ............ the only problem area is the fit of the tail lights, but that problem has existed since the original kit came out 44 years ago. The kit comes with bucket seats and console, but I made a bench seat from a second kit's rear seat to match my car. I also fabricated a column shifter for the TurboHydro 400 transmission. I also had to remove the "chrome" trim from the bottom of the body line, as it came from the mold's 1968 origin Thank you for the nice comments. John

Beautiful Chevelle SS and my favorite year at that!
The trim that you removed was on my 1:1 69 Malibu which is what I will replicate with mine. But was not on the SS cars.
